Addicted to Harbor Master
For those of you with an iPhone that have downloaded the highly addictive Flight Control, you may be looking for the next drug of choice by now. Harbor Master is that drug. Developed by Imangi Studios, LLC, the game is a fresh twist on many of the management style strategy games out now. Admittedly I wrote this off to be a Flight Control rip but had to try it out anyway. At .99¢ Apple has me in the palm of their hand.
Harbor Master really sets itself apart as the next generation of management style strategy games by adding several twists to the established game play. Players not only have to manage ships into their correct port but they have to unload cargo and leave the port as well. More challenges are created by the addition of different speed class ships, the amount of cargo they can carry, whirl pools and corresponding port/ship colors.
Harbor Master has great art, sound and game play. Since it’s release mid July, they have already released a new level called Cannon Bay which adds yet another level of separation from the category by adding pirate ships which try to steal cargo and end your session. I’m really looking forward to future updates from these guys as they’ve really nailed this first release.
