Come Work at Grow

I’ve been Tweeting, updating Facebook and emailing people for the past few months about our need to staff up at Grow but I haven’t had a lot of luck thus far. With all the hardship stories out there about budget cuts and agency layoffs I thought we were going to have our pick of the litter this year. Turns out, there are less available people out there than I thought.

I don’t know if it’s the economy and people are staying put to ride out the storm or if it’s the fact that all the good people out there are content with where they are. In any case, you’re making my job harder by not emailing me about working with the fine folks at Grow!

We’re looking to add several new faces to our studio as soon as we possibly can. Those being a 3D generalist (modeling & animation), a Flash Developer (AS3) and a web developer (php/javascript/etc). Here are the rolls described on our website:

Flash Developer
Grow Interactive is seeking a Flash Developer to join our talented team. Applicants must have expert-level knowledge of AS3. All other skills (FMS, PV3D, server-side scripting, etc.) will be considered a plus. Above all else, we’re looking for someone with a strong desire to create work among the best in the industry.

This position is full time at our office in Norfolk, VA, and a competitive salary will be commensurate with experience. We will pay to relocate. A wealth of benefits include health, dental, 401k, paid vacation and holidays, and more. Web Developer
Grow Interactive is seeking a Web Developer to join our talented team. In this position, you’ll develop on both the front and back end to create pixel-perfect, CSS-based executions of our projects.  Applicants must have strong to expert-level knowledge of PHP/MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript and experience with AJAX setups.  Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and SEO-friendly practices are also a must.  iPhone development experience or interest a major plus.  Above all else, we’re looking for someone with a strong desire to create work among the best in the industry.

3D Artist/Animator
Grow Interactive is seeking a 3D Artist / Animator to join our talented team. Applicants must have a well rounded understanding of modeling, lighting, rigging, animation, and rendering. Experience with Mac-based software is ideal. Additional experience integrating 3D work with full motion video and programs such as After Effects and Flash are strongly desired. Above all else, applicants should have a strong desire to create industry-leading work.
